Wiretapping By Magma Purpose: To listen in and record conversations on another persons phone line. Remember this does not comply with Canada's wiretapping laws. Tools to create a Wiretapping device: * Wire strippers * Old headphones * Line recording control (Radio Shack Part # 43-228) * Alligator clips * A micro cassette recorder (needs mike jack and remote jack) * Tape * Soldering iron * Solder * Container to hold the deviceHow to Create the Device: Step one: Slice off the headphone part of the headphones so that you are left with nothing but the little plug (L- Shaped thing that goes into the jack of your walkman). Step two: Strip the wires of the line control and solder the connecting colours to the wires from the headphones. I.e. connect the red wire from the line control to the red wire of the headphones and then the green wire of the line control to the white of the headphones (in most situations the wires in the headphones are red and white, if not then you’ll have to play around and find out.) Step three: now that was probably the hardest part. Next you strip the other end of the line control and connect alligator clips to the ends of each wire (red on red and green on green). Step four: now that you have everything together your probably going to want to place it in some kind of container so that it doesn’t get harmed from the environment that it’ll be in. I suggest something cheap such as an old Tupperware container. Just cut some holes in the sides to allow for the wires to be fed thru. You are also going to want to spray paint the container I suggest a nice gray. Step five: now the fun part. Attaching the device to your targets line. This can be done by one of two ways. The first is by just walking over to their house (that is of course if they live in a single family home or town house). Then you open up their box and attach the clips to the prong in their box (red to red, green to green) then set the box that has the recorder in it on the ground or burry it if your smart and simple walk away. The second and more professional way of going about you business is you walk over to a large junction box or failing that if you live in a rural area a small brown box. Open it up find your targets line (you will need an ANI for this method) and connect the tap to the line. You could even leave the tap in the box itself but be sure to have no fingerprints on it. If it is found by a Telco employee (not likely) and it does have prints on it then your out of luck.
