 Yo holmes here is a way to cheat your local verizon/telecos payphones.  
 Call any long distance number and find out how much that call is first.  
 Should be like $5.10...not bad if you do this a couples of times like me.

  Then call the same number and you might want to keep this handy, and 
 when the operator comes on make up a good story use your s0cial 
 engineering skillz.  Tell here you inserted your 5.10 and that when you 
 dialed the number it didn't work and the change return doesn't work.  
 Hell tell her your grandma is diing and you need to call over there to 
 talk to your parents who are there right now.  Well being against there 
 policy most tele cos will not conect you but will send a check to your 
 house.  Yes a $5.10 refund check from your tele co to your house.  

 Don't worry they run off thousands maybe millions of these checks a day 
 so they won't be able to see that you applied for these checks like 150 
 times, jus make sure your parents don't catch on.  Make a fake web site 
 that says click here for a free check or some shitnit.  So there you go 
 now go make your sell rich.
