I have to say that with the exception of the San Fran office, this office has a hellish existence. As I recall, Portland is a fairly liberal city and I'm assuming the SS is a pretty conservative group of people. Anyway, Bush came here in 2002 and spent the night. Now, you can do the math- Bush + Treehuggers = Little Sleep for W. The incredible thing is that Bush came back to Portland in 2003, but this time it was only to eat. At the time that this article was written, the visit hadn't occurred, but resident agent in charge, Ron Wampole optimistically stated, "Hopefully, the visit will go better than it did last year."
