AF-1 information related to the following airports:

MEM- AF-1 was here in 1992 when Bush, Sr., gave a speech to Fed-Ex employees about not raising taxes-

' No matter how the the Democrats try to dress it up, any economist can tell you the last thing we need right now is a $100 billion tax hike. So if the Democrats in Congress want to send that bill to me, I've got a message for them: I will veto it, absolutely, positively, overnight.'

OSIN- But, just don't read his lips over this one. Here's Carter again with his itinerary to Memphis back in 1978- http://jimmycarterlibrary.org/documents/diary/1978/d120878t.pdf Sometimes, I'm not sure why I care about these stupid newspaper articles, but they do give me some intelligence. Every now and then I like to recreate them in my reports to remind me where not to live in the US. 'SOUTHAVEN - Doors will open at 8 a.m. Saturday for those wanting to see President George W. Bush when he visits the DeSoto County Civic Center.

Bush will appear in DeSoto County on behalf of Republican gubernatorial candidate Haley Barbour.

Sen.-elect Merle Flowers, co-chairman for the Barbour For Governor campaign, said that Bush is scheduled to fly into Memphis International Airport aboard Air Force One Saturday morning and travel to the DeSoto Civic Center. Event organizers want all guests to be in their seats before the president's arrival.

"We ask that everyone arrive before 8 a.m.," Flowers said. "Obviously there will be people lining up to watch the motorcade down I-55."

Flowers said since this is the first time that a sitting president of the United States has visited DeSoto County, he is working to obtain special commemorative memorabilia of the president's visit.

"We are working on getting something for the Historic DeSoto Museum to show that President Bush was here," Flowers said.

Flowers said the interest in the Bush visit, a historic first in DeSoto County, has meant crushing crowds at the campaign's headquarters on Goodman Road.

"We had to lock the doors just a minute ago," said Flowers, who said he began receiving phone calls about the visit as early as 4 a.m. Wednesday. "Traffic literally stopped on Goodman Road due to all of the people wanting tickets."

Bush will make a stop in Gulfport later Saturday, and his trip also will include a stop in Kentucky to campaign for gubernatorial candidate Rep. Ernie Fletcher, R-Ky.'

OSIN- I guess a photograph isn't proof enough for these people that Bush had visited them, or a brain cell for that matter. It would be interesting if Bush had those Presidential coins he carries. Then he could watch Haley Barbour dive for them.
