This project looks at the IP space assigned to Qatar and maps out what subnets are assigned to what entity. The Qatari IPv4 space is assigned under the Ripe Registry. There are about 3 major entities covering 8 seperate IP ranges that make up the Qatari IPv4 address space at the time of this writing (Aug 2006). I utilized a ping sweep to give me an indication of what hosts may be up. Bear in mind that a ping sweep done at different times of the day or week may produce different results. Just because an IP may be shown to be up may not actually be the case and vice versa. The purpose of the ping sweep was to give me an idea of what subnets may be more active when compared to other subnets within the same range.
