2-14-2001 - HiR is kind of back. I have some more free time now, and I'll be helping around a bit, updating the site.

12-14-1999 - HiR 10 is FINALLY released. Finals are over for Axon (except for the UNIX final, but that one's a joke), so he finally got time to plop everything up to the server. Enjoy!

08-14-1999 - HiR is back up and running on hir.chewies.net, thanks to Razathorn, a close Friend of Axon and Asmodian X. It's not known how long we'll stay here.

06/01/1999 - HiR gives to the public... Hackers Information Report, Issue #9! This issue covers all SORTS of info and new horizons. Our promise holds true to this day: Provide wholesome, useful, ethical hacking information to the general public. Go to HiR 9 and browse it on the web with almost any browser, or go to the The Archives where archive/compressed versions (tar/gnu-zip and Pkzip/Winzip formats) of HiR 9 and all past issues can be found.

04/10/1999 - HiR is proud to announce yet another addition to the HiR Crew! ixl joins us from readership in Canada. His experiences are currently focused on FreeBSD and Linux, but he also has Win9x experience. He hopes to bring us more Unix articles and programs! He'll probably give you more information is his debut article.

03/08/1999 - Got a cool pic from Technoid, depicting his version of the Hard Drive clock. He read the HDClock article, and went about the clock his own way, and it looks pretty cool! Thanks for the submission!

HiR 8 is (finally) released! Sorry it took so long, but things have been crazy. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed gathering info. HiR 9 Probably won't be out for a while, if things keep their pace; But it will arrive, so be patient, and thanks for sticking it out!

As you may have noticed, HIR has choosen to release editions ala Phrack. Due to Axon's new job and other acts of god we have not had all of the time we would have liked to have in writing articles.
