[ Who are we? What do I mean we? Hackers? What?]

We are here for a common reason. This is our way of life, this is who we are, 
this is what we were born into. We are not about fighting, we are not about 
war or criticism, not about judging or destroying. We are here because we 
seek knowledge. We want to understand what the majority does not understand, 
and we want to perfect what the minority does understand. We are based on 
knowledge, our whole reason for doing this is to learn. We are not about 
defacing sites or causing harm, we are about understanding. Some of us live 
among people that we don't understand, they make fun of us, are cruel to us, 
and try to make our lives hard. We must be strong and unite together. We must 
rise as a population and create peace among ourselves. We are not about media 
or being popular, we are here because we share a common interest. We will not 
fight the media lovers, we will not fight the egotistical people who call 
themselves one of us. Our true kind exist without ego. We help others to 
understand what we understand and give them a reason to learn. Our hunger 
for knowledge allows us to live, to share and to teach others, and to provide 
information. There are many obsticles along the journey, and many fall except 
for a few who remain true to the code. 

hacker n 1: a programmer for whom computing is its own reward; may enjoy the 
challenge of breaking into other computers  
  

hacker n 2: one who is proficient at using or programming a computer; a computer buff.  
             a. one who illegally gains access to or enters another's electronic system 
             to obtain secret information or money. 

Which one are we? That is something you will have to answer on a personal level. 
I can tell you which one is us, based on ethics and knowledge, but we all have to make 
a choice. We have to answer these questions inside of us. Why am I here? What made me 
come here? What do I want to gain from being here? There is only one way to truly become 
what we are, and that is something that has blinded many many people, many different ways. 

The underground will be united, and the truth will rise. Our purpose here is known only by 
those that follow their hearts, that follow our words, and that follow a strong code of ethics. 

You can read this and think to yourself, "what a lamer, I bet he has never even defaced a site."
Well, if you are criticizing me, then you do not belong here anyway. Hacking is a philosophy, 
a way of life, and a truth, not something we do to impress our friends, and not something we 
do because we want people to think we are cool. This is our life, this is who we are. 
We all have an individual story to how we got here, what made us who we are, and what drives 
us to learn, but underneath, there is only one truth.
