setupsigner, setupuser, startclient, startserver - quick setup network utilities
setupsigner
setupuser
startclient
startserver
Description
These utilities provide quick setup for network operations.
setupsigner
The setupsigner command creates a signerkey file for the current machine, and allows creation of passwords for one or more users. After the signer is set up, lib/srv is started to wait for client requests.
setupuser
The setupuser command creates a directory in /usr for the current user (/dev/user) and copies the window manager setup files from /usr/inferno. The command creates a keyring directory and contacts a signer to get a certificate.
Note:
If an Inferno host is being set up in loopback mode, the
setupsigner command must be run before the setupuser
command.
startclient
The startclient command is equivalent to:
bind -a '#I' /net
lib/cs
startserver
The startserver command is equivalent to:
lib/srv
